TheIndonesia.co - Special Capital Region Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan attended the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for questioning regarding the issue of Formula E administration in Jakarta which is under KPK investigation. Baswedan, wearing a white official uniform, arrived at the KPK's Red and White Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at around 09.25 Western Indonesia Time.
In addition, Baswedan brought a blue folder case. "(I should) go up first," said that former Minister of Education to reporters.
The KPK would ask Baswedan for information regarding the planning and budgeting processes related to the implementation of Formula E in Jakarta which was held in June 2022. "It's more or less, usually related to the planning process, initially what it looked like, where the offer comes from. Then it was planned, then the budgeting process, then the implementation came to accountability," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata at the KPK Building, Jakarta, last Tuesday.
The KPK wants to know whether the implementation of Formula E will bring benefits or not. "It's been done, we want to know how it was implemented, whether yesterday it was profitable or not because if the goal is business, the consideration is that it will benefit later, many tourists come to stay, grow the economy right. That's what we need to clarify how the budget is," said Marwata.
The KPK stated that the investigation process for the Formula E case is still ongoing. The KPK has also asked for information from several parties, including former Ministry of Youth and Sport Secretary Gatot S Dewa Broto, Speaker of Jakarta's parliament Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, and Deputy Chairman of Commission E of Jakarta's parliament Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo.
